Paris districts. 2nd arrondissement

The 2nd arrondissement of Paris is like an extension of the 1st arrondissement. The smallest of all it combines banks, commercial and financial institutions, as well as the Paris Stock Exchange. I must say that all trading has long been automated, so the historic exchange building is used for meetings of delegations. 

The area is non-touristy, quiet, respectable. If you stay here, you will appreciate how convenient it is. On the one hand you will live in the very center, on the other hand you will not be disturbed by the noisy crowds of tourists. And of course you appreciate the neighborhood's major shopping centers and famous passages, preserved since the 19th century. 

Other places to see in the 2nd arrondissement are the Basilique Notre-Dame-de-Victoire, the Tower of Jean-Saint-Paul built in the early 15th century, the small Opera Comique and the Montorgueil quarter which is known as the Arbat of Paris.
