«Forbidden» places in Paris
Every guide in Paris knows where the "forbidden" places are, and will gladly show them to you. Don't be shy, because Parisians are not at all prudish and are very affectionate. And if you don't want to go to a guide, take our tips.
- Sexodrome: Turn left from the Pigalle subway station and you can't miss the huge Sexodrome store. On the first floor they have all the sex toys you could ever want, as well as fun accessories like tabletop erotic games. Downstairs you can buy wall art, lingerie and other erotic art. The store is advertised as an "adult entertainment center," and rumor has it that there is now a sauna/hammam on the fourth floor. You will find Sexodrome in the Montmartre district at 23 Boulevard de Clichy, 75009 Paris.
- Strip Bars: If you are looking for a "typical American" strip club with loud rock 'n' roll, you should choose Penthouse Club or Pink Paradise. Halfway between a cabaret and a strip club are Théâtre Chochotte (a boudoir-style erotic theater) and Secret Square (a mix of gastronomic dining and striptease). Cheaper and less chic options are Show Girls and Club 88.
- Paris date hotel: This Paris date hotel is located at 88 Rue Saint-Denis, 75001 Paris, metro: Etienne Marcel, line 4. You can rent this hotel even for 1 hour. There are different rooms to choose from, each decorated according to a certain theme: a mirrored closet, a dungeon, a Venetian gondola, etc. If you want to rent a room from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., book in advance. The hotel is always crowded during the lunch hour.
