The 6th arrondissement of Paris is great for staying in the city for a few days. It is a safe, beautiful, quiet neighborhood from which you can walk to the main attractions of the capital. It is also one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city.
Once upon a time, the streets of this neighborhood were used by musketeers from Dumas' novels, famous writers, artists and philosophers lived and entertained here. Nowadays, you'll find big name stores, art galleries and museums, as well as some of the best cafes in Paris.
Among the sights in the 6th arrondissement you will find the Luxembourg Gardens, the Church of Saint-Sulpice, famous for Dan Brown and The Da Vinci Code, the Convent of Saint-Germain-des-Prés - the oldest building in the city, the Odeon Theater, the New Bridge - one of the symbols of Paris.
